Aromas ripe raspberries, brown sugar, thyme, blueberry and violet. Tastes of bramble fruit, tea leaves, pomegranates. Balanced acidity with good weight, vibrant verging on powerful. There's a long and clean finish.
A 98% Zinfandel, 2% Carignane Classic Dry Creek Zin from 86 year old vines from winemaker Andrew’s great grandpa’s 1927 planting. Fermented in open top fermenters for 7-14 days, aged for 20 months in 8 neutral french oak barrels, racked 5 times, and egg white fined. Best enjoyed 2017-2023.
