2007 was the first of what is now the third consecutive drought year. Berry size was below normal as was crop load. With an early spring budbreak we started harvest about one week ahead of normal. The final product displays trademark Zinberry, i.e., dark fruits, cherries and briar. Fine tannins meld with slightly elevated acidity. It's a treat to drink now but, as usual with our Zinfandel, you'll get another level of complexity if you can keep your mitts off it for a few more years.
